From your first sight you will find it very cute. It's very small and stylish. The radio is about the size of a deck of cards. This device is convenient for you to slip in your pocket, purse, use the included neck lanyard, or easily carry it in your hand.

The Mark III is the LATEST revision of the UV-3R and features an upgraded, larger casing, a more traditional radio battery, the common Kenwood "K" accessory socket, an all new drop in charger, and the SMA M antenna connector.

The latest shipment also has an updated firmware,

with a total of 19 menu options!

Option 19 is "PRI" Priority Channel Scanning

The UV-3R+ Mark III also has some attractive features. For European customers,1750Hz tone burst is standard. For North Americans, unlike other micro radios, we offer 5k frequency spacing. The dual-band DSP chip also allows you to work U/V, also a big selling point for this radio.

There are other common features of this radio, such as high/low power switchable, 25kHz/12.5kHz switchable, emergency alert, CTCSS/CDCSS, low battery alert, battery saver, time-out timer, keypad lock etc..

Programming software is standard, and cables are readily available, both USB and DB-9 Serial Port.

The UV-3R has also passed CE, FCC and ROHS certification.
